WHAT IS REIKI?

​Reiki (pronounced ray-key):

  • Is an energy healing technique

  • Uses a series of hand positions and gentle touching of your body (physically or energetically from a distance) to channel universal healing energy

  • Promotes your body’s natural ability to heal itself

  • Helps to balance your mind, body and emotions

  • Clears energy blockages from your major chakras and energy field (aura)

Our bodies have an energy field (aura) that is central to our health and proper functioning. This energy can become blocked, unbalanced or weakened, for a variety of reasons. When an energy blockage occurs we are more likely to get sick, feel stress, anxiety and become emotionally unbalanced.  As a Reiki Master practitioner, I have been trained to detect and alleviate these problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional and spiritual level.

HOW I GIVE REIKI

  • I act as a channel for the Reiki energy 

  • I use my intuition and Divine guidance to move to or stay at certain areas of your body (physically or energetically) 

  • I work closely with your energy and may pick up on emotions or messages that can benefit your healing

  • I will note what I sense and feel at each of your major chakras and discuss these with you at the end of the session

  • You will receive a written report with my impressions and any intuitive guidance I receive during your session

  • I am not qualified to diagnose medical conditions

  • Reiki can compliment but should not replace your medical treatments

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN RECEIVING REIKI?

  • Have an open mind and an open heart

  • Allow and trust that you will receive what you need in the moment

  • You may find it helpful to say the following affirmation: "I am open to receiving all healing energy that has been sent to me. I will let go of any energy that is no longer serving me and replace it with love and kindness".

  • Acknowledge your emotions and thoughts that surface during the session

  • Visualize these thoughts and emotions being released

  • Place them in a pink balloon and let them float away

  • Let them flow out the bottom of your feet

  • Take notice of how you feel emotionally and physically both before and after I have sent Reiki

  • Wear comfortable clothes, relax and enjoy
